IEC 60320 C14 C15 P-LOCK Power Cords feature a locking plug (male) that securely locks into place when used with a matching inlet. P-LOCK Power Cords are used with Server Technology PDUs (Power Distribution Unit) to supply power from the PDU to a server, router, switch or other device. The C15 Connector is HIGH-TEMPERATURE connector which mates with either a C-16 or C-14 Inlet. The Locking C14 Plug helps ensure a secure connection between the cable and the pdu, reducing accidental power loss to equipment due to loose connections. We stock a wide array of lengths and colors to meet your specific need. Standard jacket color is black, however, RED and BLUE power cables are used to help identify primary and secondary power sources. Standard jacket is SJT, standard gauge is 14awg. Standard amperage is 15 AMP

The IEC 320 C15 Power cable is used to power electrical devices that emit so much heat (intentionally or unintentionally) that they require a power connection that can withstand more than the 70 °C (158 °F) temperature rating of the standard C13. In combination with the C14 plug type, the use cases of this high-temperature cable are almost exclusively data center environments. This cable would most likely be found supplying a High-Powered Switch power from a rack-mounted PDU power supply source. If your equipment has a IEC320 C16 Inlet it should only be mated with the matching C15-Power Connector.

The IEC 60320 C14 P-Lock Plug is designed for use with ServerTech and Raritan data center PDUs. The locking tabs on each side prevent the plug head from nuisance unplugging by hooking into the PDU unit. The plug can easily be removed by pressing down on the tabs located on each side.
