The IEC 60320 C14 is a grounded 3 Wire Plug rated up to 250V and 15 Amps. The C14 mates with a C13 outlet, typically found on Data Center/IT specific PDUs (Power Distribution Unit). The most common configuration for a C14 is in a jumper cable scenario, providing power from a PDU to IT Equipment.

The IEC 60320 C13 IEC-Lock connector type is rated for 250VAC and 15Amps. It features the universal IEC Lock mechanism that can be mated with any standard IEC 60320 C14 Plug or Inlet. It engages the lock when inserted by pinching the pins, and can be dis-engaged by pulling back on the red tabs.

About IEC Lock power cords (locking C13 connector, LSZH)
Locks at: the equipment inlet. Needs on the PDU: nothing; the plug is a standard C14.
IEC Lock is Scolmore's mechanism and the simplest on this site: a latch inside the C13 connector closes on the earth pin of the inlet it is pushed onto (a datasheet for a cord on this connector publishes over 100 N of lock retention). Any standard C14 inlet will do, on any server, switch or PDU. The cords here are built on LSZH (low-smoke, zero-halogen) cordage for rooms where a cable fire must not fill the space with acid smoke, at 10 A, 250 V.
How to release: pull the red tab on top of the connector back and withdraw it; the same tab is pulled back to fit it.
