The facts
- Maker: SSEMCO.
- Locks at: both ends.
- Needs on the PDU side: a P-Lock-ready PDU outlet (latch slots inside the outlet face for the tabs).
- Needs on the equipment side: any standard inlet (C13 / C15 / C19 connector).
- How it holds: SSEMCO's D-Lock: a P-Lock plug for a P-Lock-ready PDU outlet and an S-Lock rotary connector for any standard equipment inlet, on one cord. Two different release motions on purpose, so freeing one end does not free the other by reflex. The plug end needs the same outlets as P-Lock.
- How to release: Pinch the plug tabs at the PDU; turn the collar back at the equipment.

What it is
Dual-Lock is not a new latch; it is the two that already work, put on the same cord by their maker, SSEMCO, who calls it D-Lock. The plug is a P-Lock, clicking into the latch slots of the PDU outlet. The connector is an S-Lock, turning its collar onto the equipment inlet. Pull on the cord anywhere and both ends hold.
What it fits
The PDU side needs a P-Lock-ready outlet, the same as P-Lock: Server Technology, Raritan, Vertiv / Geist, Eaton G4, GELU. The equipment side takes any standard C14 or C20 inlet. On a plain PDU outlet the plug end seats without locking and you have, in effect, an S-Lock cord; the Lock Finder will tell you that and point at Z-Lock+ for plain outlets at both ends.
Release
At the PDU, press the plug tabs and pull. At the equipment, turn the collar a quarter turn and pull. Two different motions on purpose, so a technician freeing one end does not free the other by reflex.
When to choose something else
- Only one end needs to lock: the single mechanism costs less and is one less thing to release.
- APC AP8000 or Panduit G5 PDUs: V-Lock, which is notched at both ends.
- Plain PDU outlets: Z-Lock+.
